CDS Graduate School 2026

7th – 11th September, 2026

The Center for Decision Sciences will host a Graduate School during the second week of September, 2026 in Senate House, London. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn about computational decision-making within a variety of disciplines, including psychology and computer science.

Pedagogical Philosophy

The Graduate School on Computational Decision Sciences (GS-CDS) will bring together an interdisciplinary audience tackling decision making in different scientific fields. The focus is on mathematical and computational modelling, integrating concepts and methods from mathematical psychology, computational psychiatry, computational neuroscience, neuroAI, machine learning, and cultural evolution. GS-CDS represents a unique offer in the attempt to bridge current interdisciplinary gaps in both concepts and methods.

Target Audience

The Summer School is targeted towards attendees from diverse fields (e.g., psychology, economics, neuroscience, computer science, etc.) and career stages (masters, PhD, postdoc, and junior PI) who want to receive high-quality training on state-of-the-art methods in their own and neighboring scientific fields.

Pre-requisite

A basic background knowledge in elementary statistics (e.g., probability theory) and programming in Python/R is highly recommended to master the technical skills, but no prior experience with computational modelling is required.

Structure & Content

Attendees will benefit from content talks from international leading researchers teaching the theoretical principles of computational modelling in neuroscience, computer science, neuroAI and cultural evolution, participate in practical hands-on sessions, and gain career advice during social networking events, mentorship and EDI sessions.

Registration

To apply, fill out this form by Monday, June 15th, at 10am UK time.
